ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING OFFICE OPERATIONS AMIDST COVID-19

Dear Patients and Prospective Patients,

We are in very serious times unprecedented in our lifetime. Our primary concern is the well-being of our patients, staff and caregivers.

Given the circumstances, we will be taking precautionary measures at our clinics and surgical hospital and centers including the following:
* Temperature screening upon entry. Patients with temperature or 100.5 or above will be asked to leave.
* Any person with respiratory symptoms (cough, fever, runny nose, chills, etc) will not be seen. Please seek medical care for those symptoms with your primary care doctor or, if an emergency, at the ER.
* Limiting foot traffic to our facilities. Please come by yourself. If help is needed, please come with only one additional person.
*Face to face consultations can be scheduled for those with severe pain, weakness in the arm or leg, or inability to walk. However, we have expanded and encourage telemedicine/phone consults.
*Unless a medical emergency, patients age 65 or above will not be seen in-person. However, we can set up telemedicine/phone consult.

We understand that patients will continue to have spinal ailments and issues and want to continue to support those who are suffering but strict guidelines will need to be followed.
Face to face consultations can be scheduled for those with severe pain, weakness in the arm or leg or inability to walk. Teleconference or videoconferences can also be done for patients as initial screenings and a decision can be made if an in-person consultation is needed. Follow-ups for imaging or after surgery can also be done via phone or video as well.

We appreciate your understanding during these difficult times and will continue to be available to you,

Edward K. Nomoto MD
